Sharing this great post by Jen! The graphic is truly a great way of making future reading decisions methinks. One can substitute the books in the different genres and use it endlessly! Thanks for sharing Jen π
Thanks Harsha for sharing this! quite interesting!
I have read a few titles from the list. I remember ‘Jane Eyre’ and ‘Fathers and sons’ was in our IBO curriculum, and i was absolutely in love with these two books at one point in time. π I still remember the that ‘fathers and sons’ ended in these lines: “however passionate, rebellious or sinful the heart hidden in the tomb, the flowers growing over it peep at us serenely with their innocent eyes….”
And i recently came across the kite runner, and i was moved to tears by it. It is such a poerful book. I even wrote a review about it on my blog. π
That is indeed a fabulous and profound line Tasneem!! And Compliments on your wonderful memory…mine sucks π I liked the Kite Runner too but somehow never read his second book!
Read your lovely review and tried to leave comment but couldn’t. Will try again later. My wi-if is totally unreliable π¦
P.S. I would love to get my hands on many of these books, but unfortunately the town that we are currently posted in, has no books at all! So i will have to wait till i go to mumbai in vacations, or may be ebooks will do. But the crispness of paper and the smell of print is way above ebooks! Dont u agree Harsha? π
Oh absolutely Tasneem!!! I’ve just got an iPad and I still haven’t downloaded any books! I think the classics I can download but I still prefer my books I the ‘real’ world π
You could use Flipkart though…it has been my lifesaver on many occasions π
Flipkart doesn’t deliver in the town where i reside, i have checked because i wanted to buy a mobile, but snapdeal and ebay do deliver in this corner of the world..lolz π
